About Us…

"Some people seem to think that good dancers are born, but all the good dancers I have known are taught or trained."
Fred Astaire
Here at PPP we are entirely in agreement with Fred, it’s the best quality of teaching which results in the best quality of dancer, and that teaching has to include much more than just learning the steps.
You need to understand music to be able to convert it into meaningful movement and to convey the emotion which is intrinsically locked within its mysteries.
Professional Dancers today are more often than not required to sing and act (the elusive triple threat!) and be physically strong, aware of their bodies. It requires dedication, a lot of sweat but most of all - you must enjoy it!
At PPP we will give all students (regardless of age), all of those skills Whether you simply want to do this for fun or whether you want a career in performance. The tuition is the same!
All Dance Lessons, Piano Lessons and Musical Theory will be available from the start. Singing and Acting Lessons will be added as the school develops.

Pianos, Pies and Pirouettes…

Our work includes working with disabilities and the Wigan Warrior Rugby project. Donna Designed a program specifically for Wigan Warriors Rugby, working to strengthen any weak injured area. Also building strength and flexibility into muscles and tendons they don’t necessarily use in their usual rugby training. This worked along side a project that PPP ran with Wigan Council. Concentrating on getting working class boys into dance.
As a result we know what it takes to become a professional.
In addition to the lessons offered by Donna and Alan, we also work with a number of associates Professional Actors, Playwrights and Singer Songwriters to. Including burgeoning talent from the Wigan & Leigh College to ensure you get every opportunity to develop your full potential.
If you have enough ambition. You can create talent!
Case Study:
Wigan Warriors Rugby League Club.
We’ve never been afraid to take risks, even from the beginning... in order to encourage more boys into dance, in 2016 we approached Matty Peet (the current Warriors Head Coach) to see if he would include Ballet into the Wigan Warriors Academy Training Programme. He said yes! You may spot some of the first team now in these photos including Liam Byrne and Harry Smith. The story received worldwide attention...
WARRIORS & BALLET
We have maintained a strong working relationship with the club and in 2018 / 2019 we joined them in a Council funded project titled “Dance Yourself Fit”. This saw Donna and our team work together with 95 schools across the Borough. Teaching our unique blend of dancing styles to over 3000 Primary School children.

We are currently working with Wigan & Leigh Community Charity, Wigan Warriors and host of other professionals on our Wigan Minis project and School Holiday activity programmes.

Tap

Tap

Tap dancing is about technique, listening to the music and being able to understand beat rhythm and to translate that to your feet without completely ruining the melody!

Ballet

Donna insists on technique, before everything, whether it’s ballet tap or street, badly trained teachers don’t just result in poor dancers. The physical consequences can be much more serious and long lasting.
