Volunteer Opportunity:
Summer Holiday Programme at Pianos, Pies, and Pirouettes CIC 

Position:
 Volunteer for Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF)

Number of Volunteers Needed:
 15 (5 volunteers per site)


Locations:
 • Sunshine House, Scholes 
• Bickershaw Community Village Hall 
• Leigh South Community Centre

Duration:
 15 days during the school summer holidays


Dates:
 5th August to 31st August 2024

Schedule:
 4 days per week, up to 5 hours per day

 About the Role:
Pianos, Pies, and Pirouettes CIC is seeking enthusiastic volunteers aged 18 and over to support our summer holiday programme. This initiative is part of the Government’s HAF (Holiday Activities and Food Programme), designed to engage children aged 4 to 15 in various fun and educational activities. Volunteers will assist with arts and crafts, outdoor pursuits and supervise children during various coach trips.

Responsibilities:
 • Supervise and engage with children in group activities 
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants 
• Assist in setting up and tidying activity areas 
• Participate in coach trips and outings 
• Work collaboratively with other volunteers and staff 


Requirements:
• Must be 18 years or older 
• Ideally possess CRB checks 
• Experience working with children, including those with SEND, is preferred 
• Willingness to undergo online Child Protection and Child Safeguarding training (provided free of charge by TES and Educare) 
• Attend a mandatory one-day training course at the end of July 
• Priority will be given to those available for the entire 15-day programme, whilst applicants available for at least one week at a time will also be considered.
